Explore Botswana is specialized in tailor-made trips in Botswana. This can be camping trips, but also luxury accommodation trips where all the nights are booked in beautiful lodges and hotels. A mix of both or middle-class accommodations is of course also possible.

Botswana is still a wild and unspoilt part of Southern Africa and has a limited infrastructure. A good preparation and a certain wish for adventure are vital for a successful Botswana trip where you will see plenty of wild animals in their natural habitat.

‘Self-drive’ trips
The majority of the trips offered are ‘self-drive’ trips. You will drive yourself in a fully equipped 4x4 and will follow schedule which is planned for you by using a detailed route descriptions, maps and a GPS navigation system (optional). All campsites, lodges and accommodations are booked for you in advance.

Guided trips
We also offer guided trips in Botswana and Namibia. A well-experienced driver/guide will support you on your safari so you have all the time of the world to relax and enjoy your journey.

Cars
We only make use of well-maintained and fully equipped 4x4’s for all our Botswana trips.

Period
Botswana can only be visited in the dry season (May till October). Especially the roads (tracks) in the National Parks of Botswana are not accessible during the wet-season.

Flights
Nowadays, many people choose to book their own international flights.
In order to make a detailed travel proposal, it is important for us to be informed about your estimated place and dates of arrival and departure. For Botswana this can be Maun, Kasane or Gabarone and usually this is Windhoek for Namibia or combination trips. Also Johannesburg in RSA or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe are alternative places to start or end your journey.

- Estimated arrival and departure date (or flight details)
- Where do you want to start/end your trip?
- ‘Self-drive’ trip or a guided trip
- Other preferences, wishes, etc.
- Budget
- Any other issues that are important for us to know

How to plan
Planning a trip is easy:
1. You are thinking of a Botswana (and/or Namibia trip) and contact us.
2. You inform us about your situation, wishes and preferences.
3. Within 24 working hours we send you a tailor-made personalized travel proposal and transparent price calculation.
4. You will check the proposal and inform us about any preferred changes and we will adjust the travel proposal till it suits your needs.
5. When you agree with the proposal, you will give us a ‘GO’ and we will start making all corresponding reservations and bookings. U will be kept informed about the status.
6. After we have received all bookings confirmations, we provisionally confirm your complete trip and send you an invoice for the 20% prepayment. Payment can take place on our European bank account or by credit card (on request).
7. When the prepayment has been received on our account, we will send you electronically a confirmation. From that moment the booking is confirmed.
8. A few weeks before the start of your trip, you will receive an extensive information folder, including a detailed road- and route description, voucher and information about the places of interest.
9. And finally, you can start with your trip.
